We have a regular bedtime routine. Steve reads the story and brushes their teeth. Then I sing and pray with them and tuck them in. But this week, he has had meetings every evening. So on the night he was home early enough to help with bedtime, he did it all. The girls were fine with this and went to bed happy. The boys, however, don't do as well with changes in their routine, especially when it comes to the hated bedtime. So they fussed and griped and complained. Daniel especially was showing some attitude. Daddy couldn't get the blanket tucked down right. He couldn't understand Daniel's mumbling and deliberately evasive answers about which song he wanted to sing. They went around and around for awhile, then Nate, from the top bunk, sighed deeply and said, "THIS is why we wanted Mom!"
